FASHION ON FULTON
Fashion on Fulton is an annual gala and fashion show to raise awareness and vital financial resources for life-saving programs and services of Brooklyn Community Housing and Services (BCHS).
BCHS launched Fashion on Fulton in 2002 to celebrate the agency’s accomplishments on behalf of formerly homeless Brooklyn residents. The event provides BCHS an opportunity to publicly honor and thank local business and community leaders who make positive contributions in Brooklyn. It also spotlights the creativity and diversity that continue to earn Brooklyn its place among the world’s major cities. This is most notably illustrated by the event’s grand finale - a professional fashion show featuring designers and models from throughout the borough.

GARDENING DAY
Goldman Sachs Community Teamworks volunteers, joined by BCHS residents and staff, plan a gardening day at the beginning of each summer.  They have helped transform the Brooklyn Gardens courtyard by adding more and more lush and beautiful flowers, shrubs, trees and vegetable plants each year. This year, the Gardening Day took place on May 9, 2009.

BCHS STAFF PICNIC
The BCHS Staff Picnic celebrates the amazing work that our staff does every single day of the year.

The Annual BCHS Resident Art Show was launched in 2009 to highlight the remarkable talents of our residents in a professional gallery setting. The inaugural show was held on May 8, 2009 at Spoke the Hub, a beautiful multi-use arts and education space in Park Slope, which generously offered to host the show for several weeks. The show featured paintings, drawings, sculpture and poetry by BCHS residents, many of whom were on-hand to meet attendees. The show was also previewed for all residents on April 21 in the Community Room at Brooklyn Gardens.
