On June 7th, 2007 BCHS presented the Fifth Annual Fashion on Fulton & Friends. Fashion on Fulton & Friends is a gala fundraiser, celebrating Brooklyn’s creative community. The event promotes the valuable work of BCHS while showcasing the talent of successful local fashion designers. The full, vibrant fashion show features the latest, cutting edge work of outstanding designers with shops or studios throughout Brooklyn. The event also includes a silent auction with treats for the urbane Brooklynite.

Periodically, BCHS hosts Uniformed Services Appreciation Day. Created in June of 2001, this event thanks and celebrates the work performed by members of the uniformed services. Uniformed Services Appreciation Day helps build closer relations between our residents and staff and the police officers, firemen and paramedics who often assist them. Invitees included members of the FDNY Battalion 31, Ladder Company 110, Engine Company 207, Ladder Company 119, Engine Company 211, Engine Company 210, Engine Company 226 and members from FDNY headquarters at 9 MetroTech Center; emergency service personnel from EMS; and NYPD officers from the 78, 84 and 88 Precincts, as well as officers from Brooklyn North, Brooklyn South and One Police Plaza. In addition many elected officials, Commissioners and/or their representatives attended.

The BCHS Staff Picnic celebrates the amazing work that our staff does every single day of the year.

Goldman Sachs "Community Teamworks" volunteers joined residents and staff for a great day of gardening that helped bring new life into the courtyard of Brooklyn Gardens.
